National Bank of Greece has selected Konsentus to protect their open banking transactions.

National Bank of Greece, established in 1841, is one of the largest financial groups in Greece which plays a leading role in digital banking within the Greek banking market, consistently investing in enhancing the service experience for its 2.9 million digitally active customers and continuously enriching its range of products and services through digital channels.

They have chosen both Konsentus Verify and the Konsentus Certificate Chain Service to safeguard their digital banking customers from potential threats.

Konsentus Verify validates, in real-time, the digital credentials and regulatory permissions of third parties requesting access to transactional account data and funds, empowering banks to make informed risk management decisions.  These checks ensure account access is never granted to unauthorised or fraudulent third parties, giving the end-user the highest degree of protection.

The Konsentus Certificate Chain Service provides another layer of security for banks by streamlining and automating the third party provider onboarding process. The service enables banks to follow the highest security protocols each time a connection is made with a regulated third party, saving time and resource in the process of tracking and maintaining trust chain data.

Together, Konsentus Verify and the Konsentus Certificate Chain Service enable the National Bank of Greece to create a trusted environment for their customers to seamlessly participate in safe and secure open banking.

“We have invested significantly in our digital offering and knowing our customers’ data and funds are protected is extremely important for us. With Konsentus’ open banking trust solutions, we are fully aligned with the relevant regulatory requirements and can build on our objectives of being the digital bank of choice.” Commented George Marinos, Assistant General Manager, Innovation and Digital Partnerships.

“We are delighted to help National Bank of Greece build a trusted and reliable solution for their customers that not only achieves their strategic goals but also puts in place the risk mitigation processes required to address the audit controls around opening access to third parties” added Brendan Jones, CCO, Konsentus.
